Linking up HR and IT for Digital Business Success: Creating Synergy Between AI Technology and Human Talent in the Future of Work

Human resources and IT are often seen as separate areas in a company. However, as of March 2024, 28% of European Employees were actively looking for a new job, often motivated by sub-par employee experience in terms of cultural as well as technological support at their current workplace.

Overview

With new work models and a focus on improving employee experience, HR and IT need to work together more closely. When people and technology are coming together, they can create a strong synergy that benefits organizations by attracting and keeping top talent, boosting productivity, and driving business growth. This combination also allows employees to have more control over their own work experience. As flexible work becomes more common, business leaders need to think about managing their staff from both a digital and HR perspective.

Additionally, the challenge of combining Human Ingenuity with AI Efficiency for maximum productivity is now a major concern for HR and IT leaders. Many European businesses are interested in using Generative AI in the workplace but figuring out which use cases to prioritize and how to handle the impact on people, process and places of work remains a challenge.
