This presentation looks at how security leaders can strengthen organizational resilience while prioritizing security investments – all in a moment of high uncertainty for European security and defense. IDC research shows that cybersecurity budgets were under increasing pressure in 2024, but how might this change as everything related to security – including cybersecurity – receives greater attention in 2025? This budget pressure is happening at the same time as regulations such as NIS2, The Cyber Resilience Act and DORA have been agreed. However, few companies have implemented appropriate policies to prevent, detect, and respond to incidents, so there is clearly a need for internal improvements on the path to robust cybersecurity. Drawing on insight from IDC data and engagement with CISOs, this presentation will offer insight to help European cybersecurity leaders improve strategy and manage risk in a moment of heightened uncertainty.

As artificial intelligence reshapes both opportunity and risk in the digital landscape, Identity and Access Management (IAM) has become the front line in the battle against evolving cyber threats. This session explores how AI is impacting identity systems—from both an attacker’s and defender’s perspective—and what organizations must do to secure access and prevent identity-driven fraud in increasingly complex IT environments.
